“Hello, my name is Adrian. I work with Harness Racing Victoria

in Melbourne, Australia and am a huge fan of Asafa. So much so that

back in early 2005 after my horse trainer picked out a horse for me to

buy at the yearling sales that I named him Asafa. He was big and black

and we were hoping he was fast, which he has turned out to be. He has

won 8 races to date.

When he first started racing he had a symmetry with Asafa, when Asafa

the runner would win, Asafa the horse would win, in fact when his

world record was equaled, Asafa the horse dead heated for first the

following day. A news story was actually made and aired on a TV

station here about it, just before Asafa came to Melbourne for the

Commonwealth Games. Myself, my trainer and her family all went to the

Commonwealth Games and cheered Asafa on and his Gold Medal winning run

was awesome.”

”Recently, Asafa Powell came to Japan to compete in the IAAF championships in Osaka and my students became even more inspired to work hard to achieve their dreams and to become as successful as Powell (even though he was outrun by Gay). Since then, Powell has become a local hero with pictures popping up all over the school and more and more I am being bombarded with "Asafa Powell" questions…I am still beaming with pride because of how he (Powell) has inspired my Japanese students”

“Asafa,

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that I am a big fan of your.  I haven't run track since my freshman year of college back in 91, but I do try to keep up with the sport from time to time.  What does 2008 hold in store for you. I know that in 07 you were plagues with a lot of injuries, but I hope that you will be making some positives moves in 2008.  Hope to hear back from you.

Always,

Marcus”

Pleasure must remain
Hello I'm a girl from France and I just wanted to say to Asafa that he's a wonderfull runner, born to run: don't forget the pleasure of running like when you were a child in the street in front of your parent's house and Pekin will be yours!

Hi Asafa, I watch your race at the olympic and I notice you relax at the end of the race. I really love you and hope that you would stop doing that if you want to win your competitors. I love you. stay true.

Asafa, you don't win the 100m chalange but everybody still know of your potencial. Just don't give up and bring the gold medal in the 4x100m. I know you can do it cause you have already prove this before.
