“Hello, my name is Adrian. I work with Harness Racing Victoria

in Melbourne, Australia and am a huge fan of Asafa. So much so that

back in early 2005 after my horse trainer picked out a horse for me to

buy at the yearling sales that I named him Asafa. He was big and black

and we were hoping he was fast, which he has turned out to be. He has

won 8 races to date.

When he first started racing he had a symmetry with Asafa, when Asafa

the runner would win, Asafa the horse would win, in fact when his

world record was equaled, Asafa the horse dead heated for first the

following day. A news story was actually made and aired on a TV

station here about it, just before Asafa came to Melbourne for the

Commonwealth Games. Myself, my trainer and her family all went to the

Commonwealth Games and cheered Asafa on and his Gold Medal winning run

was awesome.”

”Recently, Asafa Powell came to Japan to compete in the IAAF championships in Osaka and my students became even more inspired to work hard to achieve their dreams and to become as successful as Powell (even though he was outrun by Gay). Since then, Powell has become a local hero with pictures popping up all over the school and more and more I am being bombarded with "Asafa Powell" questions…I am still beaming with pride because of how he (Powell) has inspired my Japanese students”

“Asafa,

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that I am a big fan of your.  I haven't run track since my freshman year of college back in 91, but I do try to keep up with the sport from time to time.  What does 2008 hold in store for you. I know that in 07 you were plagues with a lot of injuries, but I hope that you will be making some positives moves in 2008.  Hope to hear back from you.

Always,

Marcus”

Asafa Ukraine love you.
Asafa, I am still a big fan! I saw in your eyes near the end of the 100m race in Bejing, what appears to be that you gave up. I also saw a calm and humble spirit. If you want to win gold at the Olympics do not give up. Do it for yourself.....win gold first and then brake the world record. If it happens at the same time "praise be to God" But one step at time. If you want it bad.... do not give up! When racing, forget all that is around you, reach inside the pit of your soul and make it first to the finish line. Much Love.

Beijing, 100m is behind us, Keep pushing
It might be Bolt's time to shine but you'll always be number one in my heart, you made it to the finals and you have done your country proud. Don't let this minor set back stop you from achieving your ultimate goal. Keep pushing forward and God will do the rest. You broke the record before and i'm positive you'll do it again. You and the other athletes make me proud to be a Jamaican, you have all proven that despite our size we can excel above the mightiest of nations. I love you, Jamaica loves you, the world loves you. It doesn't get much better than that.
Keep the faith.
Always and forever,
Your number ONE fan!! :) null

Hi Asafa, i hope u'll find the time to read this. I just want to tell u that im proud of u, u blazed the trail 4 Ja. and that can neva change. I'm really happy that we won the 100m and i'm also happy that we set a new world record but it would have made me so much happier if u were the one bringing home that world record gold, nontheless im still behind u 100%, only u know what happened on that track. Im looking forward to the 4x100 relay, just relax and do wat u do best! I know the world is yet to see what Asafa Powell-"di Big Man", has to deliver and i wait in anticipation for the moments to come. I love you Asafa!! and i'll keep praying for you.
