“Hello, my name is Adrian. I work with Harness Racing Victoria

in Melbourne, Australia and am a huge fan of Asafa. So much so that

back in early 2005 after my horse trainer picked out a horse for me to

buy at the yearling sales that I named him Asafa. He was big and black

and we were hoping he was fast, which he has turned out to be. He has

won 8 races to date.

When he first started racing he had a symmetry with Asafa, when Asafa

the runner would win, Asafa the horse would win, in fact when his

world record was equaled, Asafa the horse dead heated for first the

following day. A news story was actually made and aired on a TV

station here about it, just before Asafa came to Melbourne for the

Commonwealth Games. Myself, my trainer and her family all went to the

Commonwealth Games and cheered Asafa on and his Gold Medal winning run

was awesome.”

”Recently, Asafa Powell came to Japan to compete in the IAAF championships in Osaka and my students became even more inspired to work hard to achieve their dreams and to become as successful as Powell (even though he was outrun by Gay). Since then, Powell has become a local hero with pictures popping up all over the school and more and more I am being bombarded with "Asafa Powell" questions…I am still beaming with pride because of how he (Powell) has inspired my Japanese students”

“Asafa,

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that I am a big fan of your.  I haven't run track since my freshman year of college back in 91, but I do try to keep up with the sport from time to time.  What does 2008 hold in store for you. I know that in 07 you were plagues with a lot of injuries, but I hope that you will be making some positives moves in 2008.  Hope to hear back from you.

Always,

Marcus”

Good Run
Good race Asafa, but looks like you lose a little speed at the end of the race. I think you're gonna break the world record at Riete. I think there are great chances to you clock 9.65s.
Good luck!!

The secret of a champion
To know the secret of a champion is to watch Asafa Powell. After, the secret will be clear. His determination, discipline, humbleness say it all. Whatever we think is the secret of this man's success, one thing is vivid, he is the champion of all time, even when he is not on the track he is the BIG MAN. Asafa respect Jamaica love you now more than ever. And as always ,
Juanita your no.1 fan peace out!
